The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing Health Equity Interest Group is a collective of interdisciplinary faculty and students committed to advancing health equity by dismantling unjust systems that disproportionately affect marginalized communities globally. In accordance with the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, we believe that health is a universal right and that nurses have a mandate to promote justice. Thus, our research, practice, and teaching seek to examine and address structural determinants that lead to health inequities.
