Jennifer Milesky is a registered nurse and nurse educator with two decades of bedside experience. Dr. Milesky’s clinical expertise includes adult critical care, trauma, and nursing professional development, which was pivotal to her role in supporting non-ICU nurses transitioning to the ICU environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her work now focuses on supporting nursing students and novice nurses entering the ICU environment amid unprecedented practice and operational challenges. Dr. Milesky’s research interests include quality of life of the intensive care patient and the prevention and treatment of post-intensive care syndrome. She brings this passion to her teaching in the Master’s (Entry into Nursing) program, where she emphasizes personalized, holistic care of each patient. Dr. Milesky holds national certifications in adult critical care nursing, nursing education, and nursing professional development. This expertise allows her to understand multiple perspectives while working to narrow the gap between education and practice.
