IPS Affiliates

IPS Affiliates are Core Faculty, Affiliate Scholars and Strategic Partners who share our commitment to eliminating health inequities as a strategy for fixing our nation’s broken health system. Designed to foster synergies with mission-aligned leaders, the program engages nurse leaders and other experts whose work produces innovative strategies and solutions for ending health inequities.

Health Inequities

Unjust and preventable differences between segments of the population in the quality or outcomes of health care and health policy. Such differences—for nearly all metrics of health care access, health system performance and population health—are long-standing among ethnically and racially minoritized, socioeconomically disadvantaged and otherwise marginalized communities.

Affiliates help advance IPS’s mission by:

  • Informing evidence-based policy and program development.
  • Demonstrating through their work the impact of research, programs and policies designed to end health inequities.
  • Participating in research and training initiatives.
  • Shaping national conversations through convenings and thought leadership.
  • Expanding our reach through strategic networks.

Leaders interested in becoming an IPS Affiliate are invited to complete an application. The program requires Affiliates to maintain active work in areas directly related to solutions-focused research, programs, policies and/or stakeholder engagement focused on eliminating health inequities and aligned with the IPS mission.
