The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing offers many opportunities for students to expand their learning and skills beyond their course work. From honors programs to volunteer learning opportunities, students have options to enhance their areas of interest.

Birth Companions

Birth Companions provide emotional, informational, and physical support to women and serve as an advocate during the entire childbirth process

HELENE FULD LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF PATIENT SAFETY & QUALITY

Designed to prepare a select group of pre-licensure students for future leadership at the bedside and in other care settings, who have exceptional competencies for promoting quality and safety

PAUL D. COVERDELL FELLOWS PROGRAM

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers enrolled in the Master’s Entry into Nursing program translate their international experiences to the Baltimore community

Policy Honors Program

Encourages students to explore the ways that health care providers can engage with policymakers in any area of nursing they pursue

Pre- & Post-Doctoral Fellowships

JHSON faculty and students receive monies from numerous state, federal, and private organizations to further their research

Research Honors Program

Students aspiring to learn more about nursing research have the opportunity to engage in research with experienced scientists on an ongoing research project
