The Elsie P. Jarvis Star Nurse Award was established in 2017 to recognize all Hopkins nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence in their area of nursing to improve the quality of patient care and has made a significant difference to the nursing profession. Hospital nurse nominees must have at least one year experience at a Johns Hopkins-affiliated hospital. Each year, this distinctive honor will reward an outstanding nurse with a $5,000 personal grant. Nominations were accepted by peers, physicians, students and staff.

The winner of each category will receive two complimentary tickets to An Evening with the Stars where they will receive the award for their category.
