This position works closely with the Director and Associate Directors of the AP DNP program, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, faculty, and students, and is responsible for ensuring continual educational excellence and innovation of the program. Full-Time Faculty Research Education Track (Tenure Track) – Vice Dean for Research
The Vice Dean for Research (VDR) provides strategic leadership and primary responsibility for shaping the vision for continued growth of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s (JHSON) research portfolio and scholarly activities. Reporting directly to the Dean, the VDR leads the development and evaluation of research and scholarly activities at the school, working closely with the Nursing Office of Research Administration (NORA), the finance team, and the HR team. As a key member of the school’s senior leadership team, the VDR works closely with other school leaders to provide coordinated leadership and to integrate research and scholarship within JHSON, thereby facilitating faculty and student research. The VDR leads collaborative efforts with research leaders across JHU, including the JHU Vice Provost for Research. The VDR provides leadership to further advance the national and global reputation of the JHSON research community’s contributions to nursing and health care.
Casual Faculty-Clinical/Laboratory Instructor – MSN (Entry into Nursing) Adult Health (Fall 2026)
The Clinical Instructor is responsible for teaching primarily in the clinical and laboratory/simulation settings for students in the MSN (Entry into Practice) program. The Clinical/Laboratory Instructor reports to the Clinical Course Coordinator or Laboratory Course Coordinator when leading a clinical or laboratory group and ultimately reports to the Associate Director for Clinical Practice, MSN (Entry into Nursing) Program.
Clinical Instructor for Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Advanced Practice and, Practice Post-Masters Certificate Programs- FALL ’26
The position term is a semester in duration and renewed based on the program’s needs, satisfactory clinical evaluations and on the approval of the Track, Associate, and/or Program Director.
