Deborah Baker, DNP, ACNP, NEA-BC, is associate dean for health systems partnership and innovation, a position created to utilize her unique nursing skill set, leadership experience, clinical and research focus, and embrace of interprofessional education and cooperation. Dr. Baker is also senior vice president for nursing for the Johns Hopkins Health System and vice president of nursing and patient care services for Johns Hopkins Hospital, partnering with leaders at all Johns Hopkins-affiliated care settings to ensure a clinical practice environment that is patient centered, with unsurpassed quality and patient safety. Dr. Baker earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, joining Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1992. She has since served in a variety of nursing leadership roles at the hospital and is DNP faculty at the School of Nursing.
