Kathryn Taylor’s research integrates health care quality and equity concepts to improve outcomes for people living with end-stage kidney disease.

Dr. Taylor is a PhD graduate from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Previously, she was corporate vice president of quality at Fresenius Kidney Care, a large dialysis organization with over 2,500 outpatient facilities across North America. She led development of that organization’s quality management infrastructure based on research from the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality, where she served as a senior program manager.

Additionally, Dr. Taylor has maintained clinical practice throughout her research and leadership career, most recently as a community health nurse at a transitional housing shelter in Baltimore City, where she is a longtime resident.
