Sarah Allgood’s research focuses on the role of pain and other symptoms in clinical outcomes among individuals with cystic fibrosis. Her long-term research goals include the development of interventions to help manage symptoms, especially in those with advanced lung disease. Dr. Allgood earned her PhD in Nursing from Johns Hopkins and completed a two-year research fellowship at the School of Medicine with an appointment in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. Prior to her PhD studies, Dr. Allgood was a clinical research nurse at the NIH Clinical Center and a research nurse at the Johns Hopkins Cystic Fibrosis Center, where she was responsible for the development and management of national-level clinical trials.
