Dr. Fava Hochuli is a doctorly prepared nurse with a diverse background in teaching, leadership, healthcare policy, simulation, and clinical placements. Fava Hochuli is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Clinical Practice at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.
Fava Hochuli earned her baccalaureate degree from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, a master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Stevenson University, and a doctorate of nursing practice in educational leadership from Case Western Reserve University Frances Bayne School of Nursing.
Fava Hochuli’s teaching experience includes content delivery to prelicensure and graduate students in a variety of academic settings. Fava Hochuli is Quality Matters certified. Fava Hochuli currently teaches Foundations in Quality and Patient Safety, Organizational Leadership Practicum and serves as a Project Advisor in the Advanced Practice Doctorate of Nursing Practice courses as a fulltime faculty member. Fava Hochuli taught the Integrated Synthesis Management Theory in the Master’s Entry program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing as a Limited Part Time Faculty member.
Fava Hochuli is an active member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), Maryland Organization of Nurse Leaders, Maryland Nurses Association (MNA), and The Delaware Nurses Association. Fava Hochuli has held various leadership positions within and on the MNA Executive Committee . Fava Hochuli attends ANA Hill and Lobby Day annually where she serves a group lead and mentor. Fava is currently the Secretary of the MNA legislative committee and serves as a team lead for the MNA legislative lobby night annually. Fava Hochuli is the former Vice President of the Nursing Foundation of Maryland.
Fava Hochuli’s scholarly accomplishments include activities focused on dissemination through local, national, and international presentations, webinars, videos, social media (blogs), and peer reviewed publications.
