Dr. Fenton is an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (JHUSON), practice owner, dual certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric nurse practitioner as well as a licensed clinical social worker. Dr. Fenton takes a biopsychosocial approach to patient care and believes that our physical health and mental health are closely intertwined and influenced by both social and environmental factors. Her practice experience includes community health clinics, outpatient mental health, weight management programs, public health research, the emergency room, eating disorders, mood disorders, and running a primary care clinic embedded in an outpatient mental health clinic. Presently Dr. Fenton is the founder and Nurse Practitioner with the Collective NP Clinic, which provides mental health and primary care services through a telehealth platform. Dr. Fenton’s research interests include physical health outcomes in individuals with serious mental illness, reverse models of integrated care, telemedicine, interdisciplinary team based care and training of clinical faculty.
