Angela Capello, PhD, MSN, RN, is an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, where she focuses on student success, NCLEX preparation, and the integration of AI-driven learning strategies in nursing education. Before joining Johns Hopkins, Dr. Capello served as a system nursing professional development (SNPD) educator for Louisiana’s largest health care system, where she led the launch of its first New Graduate Residency Program.

Her doctoral research at Louisiana State University centered on under-represented nursing student populations, examining the social and cultural factors that influence program completion in pre-licensure nursing education. Dr. Capello is dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment, enhancing faculty-student engagement, and developing innovative strategies to support students in achieving licensure and career readiness. She is particularly passionate about leveraging AI and adaptive learning tools to personalize the student experience and improve student outcomes.
