Colleen King Goode has served as a faculty member at Johns Hopkins University since 2016. Dr. Goode is currently an assistant professor and is a coordinator in Pathophysiology and Health Promotions Across the Lifespan. She serves as the DNP-AP simulation coordinator for the Adult-Gerontology, Pediatric and Family Primary Care Tracks. She completed the NLN Simulation Leadership Program in 2023. Working with other national leaders, her NLN project focused on incorporating simulation education techniques in the classroom. Dr. Goode is a Cohen Scholar with a master’s degree in nursing education and is a certified nurse educator (CNE). She is passionate about adult learning strategies and has been able to incorporate various techniques with her students, including development of virtual clinical and lab experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. She completed the Family Primary Care Nurse Practitioner DNP at the Johns Hopkins University in May 2021. She practiced at the Johns Hopkins COVID Call Center and currently has her own practice in Primary Care. Her nursing specialties include family primary care, neurology, telemetry, and orthopedics, and she held a national certification in medical-surgical nursing specialty (CMSRN).
