Mary Jo Gamper is a pediatric nurse practitioner and PhD candidate at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing with over a decade of experience in pediatric oncology. Her work focuses on improving the quality, safety, and equity of care for children with serious illness and their families. Her research examines electronic communication between caregivers of children with cancer and healthcare teams, guided by Relational Coordination Theory, to inform interventions that strengthen care coordination, enhance caregiver experience, and improve health outcomes.
