Fernando Mena-Carrasco is a PhD candidate and a Doctoral Fellow of the American Nurses Association and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. He serves as a clinical instructor for master’s students in population and psychiatric mental health rotations. Previously, he led HIV and STI programs at the Maryland Department of Health. His research advances population health by examining behavioral health among adults, with a special focus on Latino adults. He is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and a licensed RN in Maryland.
