Caregiving Youth: A Call to Action for Research, Education, and Policy
In the U.S., over 6 million children and youth act as caregivers for older adults or siblings with chronic conditions. Research shows that caregiving responsibilities can affect students’ academic and mental health.
Join the Center for Equity in Aging 9-11 am September 22 for a special hybrid event featuring JHSON alum Dr. Connie Siskowski and a distinguished panel of health care experts as they discuss education, research, and policy surrounding youth and child caregivers. Dr. Siskowski is the Founder and President of the American Association of Caregiving Youth, a national organization to advocate, support, and celebrate caregiving youth.
