2025 Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Programming Award
The SOURCE Service-Learning Academy has been awarded Campus Compact’s new Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Programming Award recognizing the many forms that effective on-campus civic and community engagement can take to address areas of need and make long-lasting, positive change. The announcement of the award is very timely, as SOURCE is currently recruiting faculty for its 2025-26 SOURCE Service-Learning Academy cohort. Applications are due by Saturday, March 1.

Join an engaging discussion honoring the Black History Month 2025 theme “African Americans and Labor,” as coined by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. “Empowering Communities: Student Leadership and the Legacy of African American Labor,” 11 am Wednesday, February 26 via Zoom (Password: Nursing) will explore the profound impact of Black labor past and present on industries, social justice movements, and economic opportunities across the U.S., Africa, and the Diaspora.
