2025 Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Programming Award
The SOURCE Service-Learning Academy has been awarded Campus Compact’s new Excellence in Civic & Community Engagement Programming Award recognizing the many forms that effective on-campus civic and community engagement can take to address areas of need and make long-lasting, positive change. The announcement of the award is very timely, as SOURCE is currently recruiting faculty for its 2025-26 SOURCE Service-Learning Academy cohort. Applications are due by Saturday, March 1.

Are you looking for a way to make meaningful change in your community while completing your studies? Apply to be a SOURCE Service Scholar in 2025-2026! This program presents a unique opportunity for students to make an impact by completing 150 hours of community-based practice at a SOURCE partner community-based organization in Baltimore while receiving a $1,750 stipend. Scholars complete training in critical service-learning and apply their knowledge in real time while gaining valuable experience in project management. Projects have already been identified by partners to address their key organizational priorities.
This program is open to students who will be enrolled through 2025–2026. Application deadline: March 21.
