Hello, Foundations Students!
Are you ready to sharpen your clinical skills and make a real difference in hypertension care? Join us for this valuable opportunity to master accurate blood pressure measurement techniques through the AMA’s Blood Pressure Measurement Training Program. This hands-on experience is perfect for future healthcare professionals like you!
This program aims to train health professional students how to accurately measure blood pressure on automatic clinic and home blood pressure devices, which is the first step to screening or treating hypertension. The program consists of 1) pre- and post-knowledge surveys, 2) virtual learning modules, and 3) in-person training.
Please take the pre-survey before accessing the modules or in-person training. The survey can be found here.
Complete the virtual modules(1-hour self-paced) via the American Medical Association (AMA) Education Hub (linked here) using your Hopkins email, which is linked here. Please make an account with your Hopkins email. The modules must be completed within 1 month (before the in-person training session). The modules you will need to complete include:
Measuring BP in Real-World Settings: Student Edition.
Practice Measuring BP: Student Edition.
These modules must be completed before attending your chosen in-person training session.
Attend the in-person training session in Room S220 on Wednesday,January 29, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM. Food will be provided!
