JHSON is dedicated to expanding the dissemination of nursing knowledge  and innovation across the world through collaboration. CGI serves as an operational umbrella for existing and developing JHSON international education, practice, research, and policy initiatives.

Isabel Hampton Robb Lecture Series October 7

"Fifty Years of Trying to Get It Right": Deborah Gross is a renowned expert in behavioral health, best known for developing and scaling the Chicago Parent Program (CPP), an evidence-based parenting intervention created with Black/African-American and Latino families from low-income communities. CPP is now used in 25 states and Washington DC across schools, early childhood programs, and mental health settings. She holds joint appointments at Johns Hopkins in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and in Mental Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. A Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow, Dr. Gross has received multiple honors, including the American Academy of Nursing Edge Runner award and induction into the Sigma Theta Tau Researchers Hall of Fame. She has authored over 150 publications focused on parenting, child mental health, and equitable, community-based interventions, and serves on the editorial board of Research in Nursing & Health. Connecting the present to the past, the Isabel Hampton Robb lecture recognizes the achievement of a JHSON faculty member at the highest level, taking into account not only past eminence and track record, but also the potential for ongoing excellence. Welcome, Ernest Lievers!

Ernest Lievers joins the Resilient, Engaged, and Connected (REC) Study team this week. Prior to joining the SON, Ernest worked as a research program coordinator in the JHSOM Department of Neurology and as a psychiatric rehabilitation program counselor and employment specialist in Baltimore. Welcome!

DNP Post-Master’s Track Drop- In Session

Chat Session for MSN Entry into Nursing

The online chat is a great way to ask any questions you may have, or see other questions being asked that you may not have thought to ask yourself. An abundance of information is discussed and we hope you will join us. Virtual Info Session – Healthcare Organizational Leadership Programs (MSN, MSN/MBA and Post-Degree Certificates)

Join the Office of Admissions, Assistant Professor and Track Director Dr. Jihane Frangieh, the Carey Business School, and current students 7-8 pm Wednesday, November 5 to learn more about the MSN Healthcare Organizational Leadership tracks at the School of Nursing. Prerequisite Information Session and Virtual Classroom Tour

Join us for a Zoom info session where we will answer your questions regarding our online prerequisite courses and provide a virtual tour of some of our classrooms. You'll get the chance to see how the courses are setup, what laboratory assignments might look like, and get a general feel for what it is like taking your prerequisite courses with us.

When you register for this event, you will receive an email prior to the event that will include the link to the Zoom info session conference room. This will require you to download Zoom in order to join.

The Career Fair is for Nurse Anesthesia students graduating in May 2026 - May 2028.

Preparation:

• Utilize Handshake (Career Center tab>Resources), especially the sections on resumes, networking, and employer info (FAQs on how and when to apply)
• Wear scrubs or professional attire (think blazer and slacks)
• Bring your student ID and copies of your current resume
