Welcome, Abigail Auwaerter!

Abigail Auwaerter joins the SON team today as a systems designer working with Andre Nogueira to model nurse-led successful programs across the U.S. and health policy systems in Maryland. Abby comes to us with over 5 years of experience in deploying mixed-method research to improve experiences in health care and technology. Great to have Abby aboard!

Anthony Eames (photo unavailable) has joined the SON as a clinical placement coordinator working with PMHNP and FNP tracks. Anthony started as a temporary employee at the SON in January after a long career in the United States Army. We thank Anthony for his military service and look forward to having him as a permanent member of the Clinical Placement team. Welcome, Anthony!

Storytelling Skill-Building Session

The Lerner Center for Public Health Advocacy has created a cutting-edge skill-building curriculum to help public health and health professionals clearly and persuasively communicate complex health issues to the audiences who matter most—policymakers and the public. You'll hear from policymakers and experts in marketing, public relations, and communication science on what makes an effective story.  

In today’s climate, compelling communication isn’t optional—it’s essential. Learn to develop and tell stories that drive meaningful and lasting change.  

The virtual session runs from October 20-November 21 and features expert instructors, 1:1 coaching sessions, applied practice experience, and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits.
