Welcome, Kexin Huang!

Kexin Huang, MSN, from Jilin University School of Nursing in China, will be a visiting scholar at JHSON through September 1, 2026. She will do research in preventing and managing late-life depression to reduce the harm and burden of the disease and promote mental health among older adults. Assistant Professor Angela Chang Chiu will serve as her faculty mentor. Welcome, Kexin!

JHSON Apparel Pop Up Shop

Support the Women's Board of the Johns Hopkins Hospital 10 am-2 pm Friday, October 17 at the JHSON apparel pop up shop. The Women's Board has given over $26 million since 1927 to fund advances in patient care at the hospital and has provided scholarships in medicine and nursing.

Insight on Hypertension Guideline

Yvonne Commodore-Mensah, associate dean for research at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, contributed her expertise to shaping the new American Heart Association hypertension guideline calling for tighter blood pressure control, expanded use of home monitoring, more precise risk assessment tools, and stronger team-based care. Dr. Commodore-Mensah shares what’s new in hypertension care with Communications Associate Sydnee Logan for the publication American Nurse.
