Work with Baltimore community-based organizations on urgent health priorities in our city
SOURCE is pleased to announce a call for applications for an exciting opportunity offered in collaboration with the Bloomberg American Health Initiative, an initiative sparked by a major donation to the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to help reshape the national public health agenda. The Initiative specifically focuses on five areas affecting public health: 1) Addiction and Overdose, 2) Adolescent Health, 3) Environmental Challenges, 4) Food Systems for Health, 5) Violence.
In partnership with the Initiative, SOURCE and partnering community-based organizations (CBOs), Baltimore Action Projects are community-identified projects which directly connect to the Initiative’s focus areas. Through the Initiative’s funding, Hopkins graduate students from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing will be hired to work a minimum of 100 hours to complete Baltimore Action Projects in partnership with CBOs. This opportunity includes a stipend of $2,000. Students must be available to collaborate with Baltimore organizations in person and remotely during Baltimore business hours.
Application deadline: Wed, July 30 by at 11:59 pm EST.
* NOTE: Open to students enrolled full-time in JHU BSPH or JHSON only. For MPH students – BAPs can fully meet the MPH practicum requirement.

The Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical and Translational Research is hosting members of the Office of Human Subjects Research (OHSR), 11 am- noon Thursday, August 21, for an informative session designed to help research teams understand the requirements related to single IRB (sIRB) review of multisite research.
