We are excited to announce that Dr. Matthew R. D'Angelo, DNP, CRNA, MHPE, MSS, FAANA, has joined the SON as the new program director for the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program. Dr. D'Angelo brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as division chief at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Division of Nurse Anesthesia, along with over 33 years of dedicated service. In addition to his academic achievements, he currently holds the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. Please join us in warmly welcoming him to the School of Nursing!

Isabel Hampton Robb Lecture Series: Fifty Years of Trying to Get It Right
Deborah Gross is a renowned expert in behavioral health, best known for developing and scaling the Chicago Parent Program (CPP), an evidence-based parenting intervention created with Black/African-American and Latino families from low-income communities. CPP is now used in 25 states and Washington DC across schools, early childhood programs, and mental health settings. She holds joint appointments at Johns Hopkins in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and in Mental Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. A Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow, Dr. Gross has received multiple honors, including the American Academy of Nursing Edge Runner award and induction into the Sigma Theta Tau Researchers Hall of Fame. She has authored over 150 publications focused on parenting, child mental health, and equitable, community-based interventions, and serves on the editorial board of Research in Nursing & Health.
Connecting the present to the past, the Isabel Hampton Robb lecture recognizes the achievement of a JHSON faculty member at the highest level, taking into account not only past eminence and track record, but also the potential for ongoing excellence.
