Standing Up, Being Heard
Associate Professor Catherine Ling shared photos from the recent Nurses Shift Change rally at the U.S. Capitol. Dr. Ling was a speaker at the inaugural “Report for Duty” Rally on Saturday, May 24 in Washington DC, with satellite gatherings taking place in cities across the country.
This nurse-led movement invites all health care professionals, students, and community allies to come together and take a stand for a more just, compassionate, and equitable health care system. “The rally promoted nursing advocacy, grounded in our code of ethics,” reports Dr. Ling.

Pride March
The 2025 Baltimore Pride parade takes place on Saturday, June 14. Information about parade details, including meeting time and location, will be emailed to registered participants the day prior to the event. We’ll be handing out shirts, taking pictures, and enjoying our community. We’ll be meeting at 11 a.m. for the parade to begin at noon. We’ll gather for a group picture before we march. Look for the Hopkins team!
The first 200 people to arrive will receive T-shirts. Additional participants are encouraged to either wear a white top or any favorite Johns Hopkins gear. Bring signs, wear your favorite rainbow suspenders, and help us be loud, proud, and visible!
From the starting point, the parade marches north on Charles Street and ends at 29th Street. At the end of the parade, you’re encouraged to enjoy the post-event block party. Please fill out a form for each participant (including family and friends) indicating their affiliation or connection to an affiliate. Form must be completed by June 14
