The JHU Office of the Provost Arts Initiative has invited all Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and staff to a Night at the Museum at the Baltimore Museum of Art, 5:30-8:30 pm on Wednesday, April 30. The event will include after-hours access to the galleries as well as refreshments, live music, and the chance to connect with colleagues from across JHU.
Please note that this is not a ticketed event. Non-Hopkins guests are welcome but must be accompanied by someone with a Hopkins ID, which will be checked upon arrival.

2025 Hopkins Medicine Distinguished Speaker Series
The 2025 Hopkins Medicine Distinguished Speaker Series presents A Conversation with Meena Seshamani, MD, PhD, 6-7 pm Tuesday, May 20, in Strauch Auditorium in the Armstrong Medical Education Building, 1600 McElderry Street. A pre-event dinner and reception will begin at 5:30 pm.
Dr. Seshamani, a Johns Hopkins-trained surgeon and Oxford-trained economist, most recently led the Medicare program at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. On Feb. 6, 2025, she was appointed Maryland Department of Health secretary by Gov. Wes Moore. She is an accomplished, strategic leader with a deep understanding of health care policy and operations, and a heartfelt commitment to outstanding patient care. The discussion will center on public health, funding, Medicare, the FDA and the role of government in health care.
