School of Nursing Professor Named to State Board of Nursing

Jule Hallerdin, MN, MPH, CNM, Assistant Professor and Director of Faculty Practice at The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, was appointed by Governor Parris N. Glendening to the State Board of Nursing for a four-year term.

Hallerdin’s area of expertise is women’s health, and she has worked as a nurse practitioner and nurse manager at Planned Parenthood affiliates from California to Florida. Before coming to Hopkins, Hallerdin was Director of Medical Affairs for Planned Parenthood Federation of America in New York. She also was Coordinator for Prime Time Women’s Health Center in Atlanta, GA, providing health services to mid-life women. As a nurse entrepreneur, she founded Wellness Concepts, an organization dedicated to the promotion of health through motivation and education.
