Nurses Celebrated at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing An Evening With the Stars Event

or

Hopkins Nursing excellence, innovation, and community impact were celebrated at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s (JHSON) annual An Evening with the Stars event, November 11.

In its sixth year, the event recognizes nurses from across the Johns Hopkins-affiliated hospitals, preceptors, faculty, students, and staff, and honors innovation and commitment to education and care of patients, families, and communities.

Held at the Center Club in Baltimore, this year’s event was emceed by Omar Jimenez, CNN correspondent and former WBAL news reporter. The event included a new honor—the Dean’s Award—which was established to recognize an alumni or friend who has demonstrated long-term support for the school, a spirit of volunteerism, and continual pursuit of excellence.

All proceeds went to the JHSON Baltimore Talent Scholars program. Through the initiative, four full-tuition scholarships are given annually to Baltimore City public high school graduates who have been admitted to the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Entry into Nursing Practice program.
