The Center for Mind-Body Research is a new interdisciplinary group spanning Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health. The Center is funded by an R21 grant from NIH/NINDS and will support research and educational activities targeting the impact of emotional, cognitive, and social factors on health outcomes ranging from risk behaviors to mortality. The three-year planning grant provides start-up resources to establish a viable Center that can compete for full Center funding and includes a Pilot (R03-like) Project Program, a Visiting Scholar program, a Faculty Development Program, and a Methodology and Statistical Consulting Core.  Interested members of the JHU community are invited to attend a series of Center lunch conferences to discuss plans for the development of the Center.
