The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHUSON) will host a live webcast featuring the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, on Thursday, January 15 from 5-7 p.m. EST. The interactive event is the first of its kind to be broadcast in real-time by the School and will be hosted by associate professor Kathi White, PhD, RN, CNAA, BC, director of the DNP program. The webcast will run simultaneously with an in-person event at the School on the East Baltimore campus.
The JHUSON’s new approach to the DNP program’s information session offers potential students both convenience and a high level of interactivity. Online participants can visit the Schools website at: http://mediasite.jhu.edu/JHU/Viewer/?peid=73888187-2966-4533-b200-5eeaf2ab1b37 beginning at 5 p.m. to view the webcast. Audience members can participate by sending questions via e-mail to an on-site faculty advisor, assistant professor Laura A. Taylor, PhD, RN, [email protected], during the webcast.

The DNP program is a practice focused doctoral program designed to prepare expert nurse clinicians, administrators, and executive leaders to improve health and health care outcomes. The focus is on innovative and evidence based nursing practice, applying research processes to decision-making, and translating credible research findings to increase the effectiveness of both direct and indirect nursing practice.
