Cynthia and Peter Rosenwald ICU Nurse of the Year Award

The Rosenwald Star Nurse of the Year Award was established by Cynthia and Peter Rosenwald to recognize nurses working in the Intensive Care Units of all Johns Hopkins Hospitals who go above and beyond the call of duty in providing caring, compassionate, and competent nursing to their patients. Each year, this distinctive honor rewards an exceptional, critical care nurse with a personal grant of $5,000.  Nominations will be accepted by peer nurses and nurse managers from each Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Star Awards – Cynthia and Peter Rosenwald ICU Nurse of the Year Award

The Elsie Peyton Jarvis Star Nurse Award was established in 2017 to recognize all Hopkins nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence in their area of nursing to improve the quality of patient care and has made a significant difference to the nursing profession. Hospital nurse nominees must have at least one year experience at a Johns Hopkins-affiliated hospital. This distinctive honor will reward six outstanding individuals a $1,000 personal grant. One award to each affiliated hospital. Nominations were accepted by peers, physicians, students and staff.
