BEST Chicago Parent Program Story Contest

Thank you for your interest in the BEST Chicago Parent Program (CPP) Story Contest. We look forward to learning how CPP impacted your life. Before submitting, please take a moment to review the deadlines, required materials and additional notes on this page.

  • TWO stories will be selected – ONE from a parent or other caregiver who has participated in the Chicago Parent Program (CPP) and ONE from a CPP group leader. Each will win a $100 Amazon gift certificate.

  • Written submissions should be no longer than 500 words, which is about one-page, single spaced. Video submissions should be no longer than 3 minutes.

  • Stories can be submitted in either written or video form.

  • Links to both written and video submissions are listed separately below. There is no preference of one approach over the other, so feel free to submit your story using that mode that’s best for you.

  • The form does not allow you to save partial submissions to continue later. As such, the form must be completed in its entirety during one visit.

  • For written submissions, we suggest writing your story in a Word document and then cutting and pasting the story into the online application below

  • Submission deadline is Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

I do hereby give the Johns Hopkins University/ Chicago Parent Program and all of its affiliates the perpetual and irrevocable royalty-free right and license to use my name and the submitted written or video recorded story for any lawful purpose including but not limited to promotional purposes and I waive any right to any compensation or approval of the work that may be created or publicly released in connection with the Chicago Parent Program. I also affirm that the story submitted is original, that I am over 18 years of age, and that I have read this release and agree to its terms.
