Degree completion ceremony

DEGREE COMPLETION CEREMONY:

Join us on August 16 at 11:00 a.m. EST for the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing graduation in the Auditorium. A reception will follow in the newly renovated Hub! Our very own, Dr. Laura Lucas, Associate Director for Clinical Practice in the MSN (Entry into Nursing) Program and Assistant Professor, will be the keynote speaker. The event will be in-person. Guests will not be permitted. The event will be live streamed Class of August 2021 Graduation | School of Nursing at Johns Hopkins University (jhu.edu).

To attend the ceremony, you must wear regalia. To order/rent regalia please visit, https://jhu-nursing.shopoakhalli.com/. Only, Doctoral students will be able to rent regalia.

To enter the SON building and participate in graduation, all graduates must:

  1. Upload vaccination or exception documentation before August 1 at vms.jh.edu. For students who have received a JHU vaccine exception, two JHU campus negative tests the week prior to graduation are required in order to be in compliance and receive a Green Badge. You will additionally need to be masked at all time in the SON building.

  2. Download Prodensity app

  3. Complete health screening on app prior to arriving on campus

  4. Receive Green Badge and proceed to campus

  5. Show Security Green Badge as you enter the school 

Students will receive a Red Badge and not be able to attend graduation if a student has an exemption in the Vaccine Management System but is not in compliance with the testing requirement.
