Susan L’Heureux, MS, RN, CRNP
In addition to her faculty position, Susan L’Heureux works part time as a nurse practitioner at Nova Interventional Pain Management in Edgewood, MD, recently leaving her 39-year bedside practice as a critical care nurse at Washington Hospital Center. L’Heureux began her career while a teenager as a nursing assistant in a nursing home, then several hospitals, and finally as a unit clerk at Suburban Hospital while earning an associate’s degree in nursing at Montgomery College. She later earned her BSN and MS in nursing administration/informatics at the University of Maryland, completing a post-master’s certificate in nursing education and faculty role at Drexel University before beginning her current role as a clinical instructor at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Most recently, she completed the AGNP post-master's certificate program at Drexel and became a certified, licensed primary care nurse practitioner.
