Ariana Chao joins the SON from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing where she was an assistant professor and also served as the medical director at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders at the Perelman School of Medicine and director of enrichment programs at the Penn Center for Nutrition Science and Medicine. She earned her BSN and MSN as a family nurse practitioner from Boston College and her PhD in nursing science from Yale University.
Dr. Chao’s research interests include identifying mechanisms related to binge eating and obesity, and developing innovative ways to improve the treatment of these conditions.
