Angela Chang Chiu

Angela Chang Chiu is a clinical instructor and assistant director of student experiences for the Center for Global Initiatives (CGI). A multilingual nurse with over 10 years of clinical experience in multiple health care settings including public health, acute, and ambulatory care, she is experienced in innovative strategic health advancement with proven expertise in developing health initiatives to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

In a previous role as CGI manager, Dr. Chang supported global partnerships and contributed to development of the PAHO/WHO Policy Brief on the Strategic Importance of National Investment in Nursing Professionals in the Region of the Americas. She was director of operations management for Sinai Hospital, leading process and quality improvement initiatives to increase patient access to services in West Baltimore.

Her doctor of nursing practice project at Duke University focused on evaluation of nurses’ role in achieving global agendas such as the Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Strategic Directions for Nursing and Midwifery, as well as impact evaluation of global communities of practice.
