Hailey Miller


PhD, BSN, RN

Hailey Miller’s research focuses on leveraging digital technologies to improve disparities in cardiovascular health and clinical trial participation.

She currently collaborates on several projects that use digital behavioral health interventions to improve cardiovascular disease risk factors, including hypertension and obesity. Recently, she was the recipient of the Society of Behavioral Medicine Cardiovascular Disease Trainee Award.

Dr. Miller’s work in recruitment methodology and recruitment disparities has focused on establishing the efficacy and effectiveness of electronic medical record-based recruitment. Her work has been nationally recognized and highlighted by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program.

Dr. Miller earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati and her PhD in nursing at Johns Hopkins University. She completed her postdoctoral training at the Duke University School of Nursing.
