Lavinia Dock Lecture: Improving Diversity in Clinical Trials is Imperative on the Path to Heal Equity

The lack of diversity among research participants has serious ethical, research, and health equity consequences. Research participants should reflect the diversity of our culture and conditions. This lecture will highlight factors contributing to lack of diversity as well as multi-pronged, stakeholder-engaged approaches to improve diversity in clinical trials.
