Renée Mitchell-Matsuyama is the Manager of The Learning Collaborative at JHSON. She moved to Baltimore in the summer of 2018 with her spouse and their two cats, after having spent several years running a college women’s center in Minnesota. Originally from the West Coast, Renée attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned degrees in both English and Student Affairs. In addition to student services administration, Renée also has extensive experience in teaching, writing consultation, and general student support and advising. When she’s not at work, Renée enjoys weightlifting, cooking, and exploring all the interesting, weird, and fun things to do in Baltimore.
