On February 22, Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHUSON) associate dean for academic affairs Pamela Jeffries, DNS, RN, FAAN, ANEF, joins nursing leaders from across the country in presenting the Forum on the Future of Nursing: Education in Houston, TX.
This forum, the third and final in a national series convened by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), will focus on issues such as “What to Teach,” “How to Teach,” and “Where
to Teach.” The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston hosts the forum
which will be available via webcast.
Jeffries’ presentation in the “How We Should Teach” portion of the forum focuses on new and integrated technologies to enhance nursing education.
“If nurses are going to be on the cutting edge, then we need to give them cutting-edge technology,” she notes.
Previous RWJF forum topics included community and public health, primary care, long-term care, and acute care. The Foundation focuses on the pressing health and health care issues facing our country.
