The SON kicks off National Nurses Week on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 with Dean Martha N. Hill’s annual Spring All School Meeting and Awards Presentation.
Nurses Week, recognized by the American Nurses Association as May 6-12th each year, celebrates the diverse ways in which nurses are working to improve health care. From bedside nursing in hospitals and long-term care facilities to the halls of educational and research institutions, state legislatures, and Congress, the depth and breadth of the nursing profession continues to grow to meet the expanding health care needs around the world.
In honor of Nursing Week, faculty, students, and staff are invited to participate in this years events at the SON and JHH Department of Nursing:
