Visiting Scholar Addresses Psychiatric Issues

Martha N. Hill, PhD, RN, FAAN, dean of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, is pleased to announce a presentation by Visiting Scholar Gail Stuart, PhD, APRN, BC, FAAN. Dr. Stuart will present “Psychiatry: Issues on the Edge” at the school on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 12:30 p.m.

Dr. Stuart is dean and professor at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing and a professor in the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She received her BS in nursing from Georgetown University, her MS in psychiatric Nursing from the University of Maryland, and her PhD in behavioral sciences from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Dr. Stuart is Board Certified by the American Credentialing Center as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, a member of Sigma Theta Tau, president-elect of the American College of Mental Health Administration, a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academics of Practice, and a past president of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
