Bushra Sabri’s research focuses on lifetime exposures to interpersonal violence, including intimate partner violence and stress caused by experiencing health inequities, particularly among marginalized populations. She has led or co-led multiple funded research projects focusing on risk factors and health effects of interpersonal violence and trauma across the life course as well as developing evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies for addressing violence and trauma across the lifespan. This includes developing culturally informed risk assessments to prevent future intimate partner violence and related injuries and homicides. Dr. Sabri’s goal is to develop evidence-based interventions that contribute to reducing health disparities among vulnerable, underserved, and marginalized populations.
