Leslie Trejo Mina is a PhD student and T-32 Predoctoral Fellow at the Center for Cardiovascular and Chronic Care. She is a first-generation Mexican American and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University. She has a background in biomedical research and has worked as a cardiac nurse. Her research interest focuses on preventable cardiovascular diseases and social determinants of health among underserved populations, especially Hispanic/Latinx communities. She is interested in multimethod approaches, including community-based participatory research and machine learning.
