Hyeyoung Hwang is a dual DNP/PhD student with over a decade of experience as an oncology nurse. Her DNP track is adult-gerontology primary care, with a focus on older adults with cancer. Building on her clinical background and master’s degrees in nursing and bioethics, her research examines ethical issues in clinical practice, including decision-making and end-of-life care. Her dissertation focuses on shared decision-making among older adults with cancer, particularly in assessing and enhancing their readiness to engage in the decision-making process. She aims to advance patient-centered care by integrating research into clinical practice.
