Sofia Liu is a T32 Fellow and PhD student at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Her research centers on sleep health, cognitive aging, physical activity, vision health, and mental health in middle-aged and older adults. She studies how modifiable behavioral and psychosocial factors influence cognitive health, sleep, physical function, vision health, and overall well-being in later life. Using large population-based data and longitudinal methods, she examines early risk and protective factors for healthy aging and generates evidence to inform interventions that support brain health, sleep, functional independence, and quality of life.
