Sarah Won, PhD(c), MSN, RN, is committed to improving the lives of family caregivers of older adults with dementia. She earned her BSN and MSN from Ewha Womans University in South Korea. During her clinical experience as a nurse at Yonsei University Severance Hospital, she observed the challenges faced by family caregivers of patients with functional limitations. Personal experience witnessing her father and relatives care for grandparents reinforced her interest in caregiver burden. Her research focuses on caregivers’ coping resources, including participation in valued activities and support, through the lens of social determinants of health.
