Soo Hyun Kim, MSN, RN, is a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Her research centers on improving palliative care for patients with serious illnesses and their families, particularly those from underrepresented populations. She employs multiple approaches, including quantitative, qualitative, and participatory methods, to improve access to and the quality of palliative care. In her dissertation, she aims to collaboratively identify strategies to enhance palliative care by bringing together Korean American community members and healthcare staff through Experience-Based Co-design.
