Thomas Hinneh is a AHA doctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with over 10 years of experience in hospital and public health systems in Ghana. His research focuses on team-based care as a strategy to improve hypertension control. His AHA predoctoral fellowship explores how social determinants of health influence cardiovascular disease risk in underserved populations. His work aims to generate evidence to inform scalable, health systems–level interventions that improve hypertension management and reduce cardiovascular disease disparities.
