Join the Department of Mental Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health for a screening and discussion of “Erased” on December 3, 3:30–5 p.m., in Sheldon Hall (Wolfe St building, room W1214). The film follows award-winning journalist and filmmaker Jill Yesko as she investigates her mother’s lost year in a psychiatric hospital, and uncovers the hospital’s history of trauma, abuse, and authoritarian practices under the guise of medical care. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Yesko and Franco Mascayano, PhD, assistant professor in Mental Health.
