Katrina Bezak

Biography

Katrina Bezak has a passion and love for oncology and hematology. She is currently the Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-Cell program manager at Yale’s Smilow Cancer Hospital. She actively integrates evidence-based practice guidelines to develop the Yale Standard of Care management template for CAR-T patients regarding seizure prophylaxis, frequency of lab monitoring, antimicrobial prophylaxis, required length of hospital admission, and management of CAR-T complications (cytokine release syndrome and neurotoxicity). She is the chair of the CAR-T Inpatient/Outpatient Subcommittee and serves as an active member of the CAR-T Joint Steering Committee at Yale. Previously, she was an inpatient hematology nurse practitioner at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
